I have been in quarantine for almost two weeks now. All of my coronavirus tests have been negative so I just have one more temperature check tomorrow and then will be released! Needless to say, I’m extremely anxious to get back into the factory. We typically work through the weekend, but there is a national holiday in China this weekend so I won’t be able to start working again until early next week. My goal is to have as much footage as possible for next week’s update. 

Scorpion production and assembly is still on schedule. The blue and black Scorpion e-bikes will be shipped to our U.S. warehouse later this month, and we’ll begin shipping to our Indiegogo backers and pre-order customers as soon as they arrive in May. The shipping schedule will follow a very strict first-ordered, first-processed system. So, if you were one of our first Indiegogo backers, then you’ll be at the ‘front of the line’ when we begin shipping. 

I am really excited to evaluate the HyperScorpion samples when I return to our facility next week. I’ve been receiving positive updates from our production team and look forward seeing the progress firsthand. We are still on schedule to begin shipping HyperScorpions to our IGG backers and pre-order customers in June. 

As we get closer to shipping Scorpion and HyperScorpion e-bikes, we will be decreasing and eventually eliminating current pre-order discounts. If you haven’t yet purchased a Scorpion or HyperScorpion, or if you’re considering buying a second bike, please note the current discounted pricing will expire on Tuesday, April 7th. Prices will increase to $1,899 for the Scorpion and $2,899 for the HyperScorpion on April 8th. 

Finally, I want to invite our community of supporters to share messages of encouragement and appreciation to the extraordinarily dedicated Juiced Bikes service and support team in San Diego, California. As cities and states began enacting stay-at-home orders, we saw a noticeable increase in the demand for e-bikes. The functional, physical and psychological benefits of an electric bike, especially during such challenging conditions, seem to be catching on in a very significant way. The Juiced organization is incredibly fortunate to have a team of experienced and committed technicians that are continuing to inspect, process and ship bikes at an impressive pace over the last few weeks. Personally speaking, I am overwhelmed, and extremely grateful, for their hard work and unwavering commitment to provide the very best service and support to our network of customers.
