New HyperScrambler 2

The New HyperScrambler 2

The Weekly Squeeze

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the new HyperScrambler 2 - a  reimagined, high-powered electric bike designed to take riders on their most ambitious adventures. Most notably, the HyperScrambler 2 delivers a riding range of up to 100+ miles with dual battery capacity - increasing the total capability to 38.4 Ah - the first e-bike of its kind to offer this extreme range!

The HyperScrambler 2 is a highly upgraded version of the brand’s immensely popular Scrambler e-bike, now available  with two 52v 19.2Ah batteries that boast an incredible range of 100+ miles and speeds of 30+ MPH. Riders can choose to use both batteries or just one, depending on how far they want to ride. The bike’s intelligent dual-battery balancer can pull from both battery packs proportionally, regardless of the charge state of each pack. Both batteries can be charged at the same time, reaching 80% charge in about two hours with the optional fast chargers.

This is the first Scrambler electric bike with dual-suspension and includes the impressive 1000W custom-designed Retroblade motor with 2000W peak power and designed in collaboration with Bafang Motors, one of the world’s top manufacturers of e-bike motors. The HyperScrambler 2 offers one of the most powerful and longest range e-bike rides available, but comfort, reliability and safety remain paramount.

Other upgraded features include an integrated brake light, turn signals, dual rear-view mirrors, a 60T chainring, hydraulic disc brakes for responsive stopping power, a security alarm, an oversized, super bright LED motorcycle headlamp for exceptional riding visibility and puncture-resistant tires for unmatched durability. Like many e-bikes in the Juiced lineup, the HyperScrambler 2 also includes dual pedal sensors, torque and cadence, for an exceptionally smooth and reactive pedal assist, an unmatched performance feature in this category of e-bike.

The new HyperScrambler 2 is AVAILABLE for pre-order beginning September 23, with the following delivery estimates:

    • Early purchasers will be rewarded with early delivery dates! This first batch of e-bikes will begin shipping in late November. We will send a confirmation email to all customers who pre-ordered an early delivery bike. Only black and brushed aluminum are available in this first shipment.
    • The next batch of HyperScrambler 2 e-bikes will begin shipping in early January, 2021. These quantities are also limited, but the color choices will expand to include red (as well as black and brushed aluminum).
    • Pre-orders placed after these first two batches have sold out will likely be shipping to customers in late February, 2021.

Answer: Yes, we have designed a custom rear rack and fenders for the new HyperScrambler 2 and it is offered as a separate accessory. The rack can be installed with the rear fender. There will also be a larger delivery rack accessory in the future, and all of the new racks will have the quick release accessory window.

Question: Is the new rear rack compatible with the Camp or CityScrambler e-bike?

Answer: No, the rear rack is designed specifically for the HyperScrambler 2.

Question: Are black and brushed aluminum the only colors offered?

Answer: Initially, yes, these are the only colors, but we will release an additional color option closer to the end of the year.

Question: Are you using the same motor that you use on the HyperScorpion?

Answer: Yes, we are using the custom-designed Retroblade 1000W motor created with Bafang motors (one of the world’s leading e-bike motor manufacturers).

Question: Can I get this bike with knobby tires?

Overall Length is 67"

Seat Height is 35.9"

Answer:

Question: What is the estimated riding range?

Answer: Click here for riding range information

Question: If I buy a HyperScrambler 2 with just one battery, can I use the 52V battery from another Juiced bike I already own as the second battery?

Answer: Well, yes and no, you can use the 13.0 Ah pack with the 19.2Ah pack, however you cannot use the 13Ah pack alone; it won’t fully support the high current draw of the HyperScrambler 2. We recommend you use 2 x 19.2Ah battery packs for optimum performance. You can’t use any 48V batteries, or any non-Juiced Bikes batteries, on the HyperScrambler 2.

Question: What will the discount be for a second battery if you only buy one?

Answer: We will provide limited opportunities for purchasers of the HyperScrambler 2 to purchase an additional battery at a discounted price in the future.

Question: Can I use one battery at a time?

Answer: Yes. It is possible to use one battery then switch to the 2nd battery. However it is recommended to use both battery packs at the same time.

Question: Is it better to use both batteries at the same time or run one down completely before switching to the 2nd battery?

Answer:  It is better to use both battery packs at the same time. When using both packs together, the battery balancer will automatically pull power from both packs effectively reducing the workload of each pack, the result is significantly less degradation from each pack resulting in better battery health.

Question: What happens if one battery is in a very low state of charge and the other battery is at a very high state of charge?

Answer: The dual battery balancer circuit will pull current from both packs only when the voltage of both packs are similar. If the voltage mismatch is significant, the pack with the higher voltage will be used individually.

Question: In single battery mode, can the battery be mounted in the front position?

Answer: The battery can be mounted in the front or the rear position.

Question: Are the batteries compatible with other batteries from Juiced Bikes?

Answer: The HyperScrambler 2 must use at least one 52 V / 19.2 Ah battery pack. The 2nd battery pack can use the 52V / 13.0 pack, however we recommend using two 52 V / 19.2 Ah battery packs for optimum performance. Battery packs from other manufactures are not supported.

Question: Can the battery be charged on the bike or off the bike?

Answer: Yes, the battery packs can be charged on the bike. The batteries can also be removed and charged off-bike.

Question: Will the 2nd battery come with an additional charger?

Answer: Yes, if purchasing two batteries, you will receive two standard chargers.

Question: Can the number plates be removed?

Answer: Yes, the number plates are optional.

Question: Is the seat the same as the Scrambler?

Answer: Yes, the Seat on the Scrambler and HyperScrambler 2 are the same.

Question: Can I use another type of tire?

Answer: Yes, you can use most any type of 20” fat tire designed for bicycles.

Question: Can the handle bars go higher/lower?

Answer: The handle bar can tilt forward and backwards, however it cannot raise higher. You want a higher handlebar, you can switch to the Scorpion handle bar which is taller. It is also possible to use a handlebar riser.

Question: Can the bike be ridden in the rain?

Answer: The e-bike can be ridden in light rain, the battery is water resistant but not waterproof. Other components can be damaged by water or exposure to heavy rain. It’s never a good idea to leave any e-bike outside in the rain.
