With hundreds of Scorpion e-bikes shipping out to our early backers and pre-order customers this month, and with HyperScorpions in transit to our San Diego HQ, I have shifted some of my focus to accessories for the Scorpion line. Here is a quick overview of our progress:
Production for the new Tall Seat is complete and the first batch is scheduled to start shipping to Indiegogo backers and pre-order customers at the end of June. As a reminder, the Tall Seat will ship separately from the Scorpion/HyperScorpion.
I’ve made a lot of progress on the Scorpion Passenger Kit over the last couple of weeks. Safety has been incredibly important as we engineer this component. The kit will include a seat and foot pegs, with the seat installed over the current Scorpion rack. We’re currently prototyping samples and plan to begin producing very soon. I’m hopeful we’ll begin shipping Passenger Kits to customers in late July and early August. Here is a rendering of the prototype seat portion of the Passenger Kit:
Finally, we are finishing the development of the new Scorpion Off-Road Throttle Upgrade Kits. This is another component that will likely begin shipping in late July/early August.
We continue to receive a great deal of inquiries from Indiegogo backers and pre-order customers about the status of their orders. As of this morning, here is our shipping status for all of the Scorpion and HyperScorpion e-bikes:
Black Scorpion: All Indiegogo orders and pre-orders placed through May 2020 have been shipped. Pre-orders placed in June 2020 will be shipped in the next 7-10 days.
Blue Scorpion: All Indiegogo orders have been shipped. We are currently processing and shipping pre-orders placed from November through March. All pre-orders for Blue Scorpions should be shipped by the end of June.
Black HyperScorpion: Our first batch of Hypers is currently in transit and scheduled to arrive the last week of June. We will begin shipping immediately using a first-ordered, first-shipped system.
Blue & Brushed Aluminum HyperScorpions: Several shipments of both bikes are scheduled to arrive in mid-July and will begin shipping immediately. We anticipate a great deal of both the IGG backers and November-April pre-order customers will receive shipping confirmations throughout July.
Please keep in mind that all of our shipping and delivery estimates are just that… estimates. We are doing everything possible to get these amazing bikes to you as quickly as possible, but there are some factors (delays at Southern California ports, for instance) that are somewhat out of our control. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding during the fulfillment phase of our Scorpion campaign.
